The Andean and border route: San Cristóbal, San Antonio and Ureña with weekly departures and drivers experienced in mountain driving.
San Cristóbal is the commercial centre of the Andes and the gateway to the Colombian border. From Valencia the most efficient trip descends through Los Llanos to Barinas and climbs Troncal 5, ten to twelve hours of road.
We schedule weekly departures with an overnight stop and drivers used to the mountains and the changeable weather of Táchira.
The climb from Barinas and the rain in the mountain range require well-stowed cargo and packaging that withstands humidity and vibration. We check the stowage before leaving and recommend palletising everything possible.
In the rainy season there can be occasional road closures; we stay in contact with the driver and let you know of any change to the arrival time.
Barinas and Guanare are on the way, so cargo for the western plains is combined with the trip to San Cristóbal and lowers the freight cost for both destinations.
For the border we deliver in San Antonio and Ureña; the crossing into Colombia requires an authorised operator with whom we can coordinate the handover.
What our customers usually ask before hiring transportation or logistics in Venezuela.
Between ten and twelve hours on the road, normally with an overnight stop, so delivery is made the day after departure.
One scheduled weekly departure, plus additional departures when a truck fills up. If your cargo is urgent we can quote a dedicated vehicle.
We deliver in San Antonio del Táchira and Ureña. The leg to Cúcuta is done by a carrier authorised for the border crossing, with whom we coordinate the handover.
