What drives the price of a freight shipment between Valencia and Caracas, how to get an exact quote, and how to lower the cost of your shipment.
Valencia and Caracas are about 160 kilometres apart by highway, and the Valencia–Caracas corridor is the busiest freight route in the country. Even so, there is no single price: two shipments on the same day can cost very different amounts depending on what moves and how. This guide explains what the price depends on and how to get an accurate quote in minutes.
The factors that set the price
The type of vehicle. This weighs the most. A light truck for a few packages costs far less than a tractor-trailer with a flatbed for machinery. Choosing the right unit avoids paying for capacity you do not use.
Full or consolidated load. If your goods fill a truck, you book the whole vehicle with fixed departure and arrival dates. If they take up only part of it, consolidated freight shares the trip with other shipments on the same route and the cost is split.
Weight and volume. The carrier calculates the space and capacity your cargo uses. Light but bulky goods, such as packaging or furniture, are charged by space; dense goods, such as building materials, by weight.
Type of goods and handling. Palletised cargo moved with a forklift loads much faster than loose packages handled by hand. Fragile or high-value products may need extra packaging or an enclosed vehicle.
Urgency. A scheduled departure on the daily route has a standard price. An immediate departure with a dedicated vehicle, outside working hours or on a weekend, carries a priority surcharge.
Loading and unloading. If the origin or destination has no ramp or equipment, waiting time and labour are factored in. Having the goods ready at the agreed time avoids extra costs.
How to request an exact quote
To quote accurately we need four things: origin and destination (the exact address, not just the city), type of goods, approximate weight and volume, and the date you need it to leave. With that we propose the right unit and a fixed price before loading.
You can request your quote from the form on the freight transport page or by calling +58 414-423-2988. We answer within minutes during operating hours.
How to lower the cost of your shipment
- Group shipments. Two small dispatches in the same week usually cost more than one consolidated load.
- Palletise and label. Palletised cargo moves in minutes and reduces the risk of damage.
- Give real measurements. A volume estimated below the real one forces a vehicle change on loading day.
- Plan ahead. Scheduled departures on the daily route are priced better than urgent ones.
- Have the paperwork ready. The invoice or delivery note and the dispatch guide must travel with the goods; without them the vehicle cannot leave.
